Started in 2003 by Phillipa and Roger Biles, and nestled in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, True Grace is one of the few true candlemakers left in the UK. As fragrance makers, they have created a selection of unique scents, some not at first obvious, and this is what makes them so special.
The owners believe that perfume is strongly associated with memory and emotion. They have worked to create ideas of scents, scents that evoke vegetable patches and warm glass houses full of ripe fruit, or a wooden cabinet of curiosities, as rich and dark as oak. Walking through a beautiful country house, its architecture, rooms and gardens. Memories from childhood and special moments caught in time.
This approach makes a true grace product the perfect addition to a space, adding an essence of an idea and providing the opportunity for new scent memories to be made,be it with a candle, a room spray or scented reeds.
All of their products are handmade, with the candles hand poured and the glass handblown. Candles are made with a combination of Rapeseed wax, Coconut oil, Beeswax, and their secret ingredient. These combine to ensure lower burning temperature, increased burn time, and remove impurities and balance the consistency of the wax, making sure True Grace candles burn cleanly and perfume beautifully.
Apart from being dedicated to creating beautiful scents True Grace also has a strong belief in sustainability. The factory is ecologically sound and environmentally friendly, powered by a combination of solar power, through panels installed on the roof, and renewable bio-mass.
